NAD Therapy

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) is a coenzyme that fuels metabolic reactions and allows the body to process fats, carbohydrates, and amino acids. It also plays a major role in aging, cognition, and mental acuity.

NAD IV therapy helps slow the effects of aging and boost neurological function. Though the material occurs naturally in cells, the production is slowed over time. A boost of NAD can help the body in many ways:

  • Support long-term recovery
  • Slow the aging process
  • Improve metabolism
  • Manage pain

The Benefits of NAD IV Treatment

NAD is not a “cure-all” treatment, however, it does offer many benefits backed by research.

  • Support long-term recovery
NAD IV treatment helps heal the brain on a cellular level. Though it’s not a cure by itself, it can be a valuable complement to regular treatment.
  • Pain management
NAD supports the body’s healing process, including the regeneration of blood vessels. Treatment can help patients with diabetes, atherosclerosis, high blood pressure, and other conditions which affect the circulatory system.
  • Slow the aging process
When NAD is in short supply, the body suffers increased inflammation, which in turn speeds up the aging process. A boost of NAD can help counteract, or delay, this process.
  • Improve metabolism
NAD produces energy in the cells, which in turn helps the body break down carbohydrates. An infusion of NAD can help boost metabolism.

How Treatment Works

An IV will be administered to deliver NAD, which is a coenzyme that ultimately leads to ATP (adenosine triphosphate) production. ATP is the form of energy used by all cells in the body to power and perform individual functions.

Carbohydrates, proteins, and fat break down into further molecules which eventually enter the Citric Acid Cycle (Kreb Cycle). This biochemical pathway leads to NADH (NAD + Hydrogen), which then combines with oxygen in the cell’s power plant (the mitochondria) to create ATP.

What is NAD?

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) is the molecule that reacts with oxygen to create cellular energy. Cellular energy is the basis for the function, growth, repair, and life span of every cell in the body. From neurons to muscle fibers, and to every other cell in the body, NAD is needed to power the Kreb Cycle (Citric Acid Cycle) and create the energy required for cells to thrive and function.

How Long Does Treatment Take?

Each NAD treatment will be personalized according to each person’s individual needs. Patients can expect to be receiving treatment anywhere from two to fifteen days, depending on their treatment goals. Infusion times can range from one to four hours a day.

Treatment will be provided in a comfortable environment and patients are encouraged to bring a laptop, book, or other form of entertainment to keep them occupied while they are receiving NAD treatment.
